Our Great Commission Goal
Jansen Lorch
Jansen & Kalee Lorch are church-planting missionary appointees to Arica, Chile. Their desire is to exalt Christ by planting healthy, reproducing churches in northern Chile and the surrounding regions through evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training. Jansen and Kalee are being sent out by Fellowship Bible Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in partnership with Gospel Mission of South America.
While we praise the Lord for the sound, Gospel-preaching local church that already exist in Chile, we believe there still remains a significant need for local churches led by theologically trained and biblically qualified, local leadership.
Our Story
Both Jansen & Kalee grew up with godly parents. Jansen's parents served in pastoral ministry in Indiana and Michigan, and Kalee's parents were actively involved in their local church in Delevan, New York. Kalee attended Appalachian Bible College where she double majored in Bible/Theology and Youth & Family Ministries. Kalee and Jansen were married in June of 2019 after they finished their undergraduate programs. Kalee is committed to serving alongside Jansen in foreign missions, while she currently spends much of her time raising their three daughters.
After high school, Jansen attended Appalachian Bible College with the intention to earn a one-year Bible Certificate. Over the next year, the Lord impressed upon Jansen's heart a burden for ministry, particularly church-planting ministry. Jansen continued his studies at Bible College, double majoring in Bible/Theology and Missions. After Jansen and Kalee were married, they moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where Jansen began a two-year pastoral internship at Fellowship Bible Church. In the Fall of 2022, the church called Jansen to be assistant Pastor. During this time, Jansen pursued a M.Div. at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary in Allen Park, Michigan. He completed this program in August of 2025 and was ordained to Gospel ministry by Fellowship Bible Church by congregational vote in October of 2025.
Jansen & Kalee partnered with Gospel Mission of South America in June of 2025 and began pre-field ministry (aka Deputation) in September of that year. Jansen continues to serve as the assistant pastor of Fellowship Bible Church as they endeavor to build a team of partners in their Great Commission goal.
