*I am tired.*

*The lawn needs mowed.*

*I have "places" to be.*

*Some other time.*

If I am being honest, these are the thoughts my mind too often skillfully constructs to avoid sharing truth from Scripture when my neighbor is outside, or I have struck up a conversation with the gentleman on the other side of the gas pump.

The Great Commission gives Christians clear responsibility to proclaim the Gospel in its command to make disciples. Our love for Christ ought to compel us to obey this command, as well as our love for our neighbor (anyone we meet in our day).

In Corinthians 5:20, Paul declares, "We are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God." I believe that this responsibility and ministry of reconciliation applies to all Christians, while we can also recognize that the apostle Paul was appointed to be a witness to the Gentiles by Christ.

> "that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit." - Romans 15:16

Another driving motivation for Christians to share the Gospel to the Lost is that we will be held accountable to the Lord for our silence when we should have spoken to those we come into contact with about man's sinfulness, God's holiness, sin's punishment, Christ's perfection, and everything else that pertains to life and godliness.

Paul told the Ephesian elders, "And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more. Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men" (Acts 20:25-26).

In Acts 18:6, Luke records that after Paul witnessed to the Jews and they opposed him and blasphemed, Paul declared, "Your blood be upon your own heads, I am clean." The implication in these texts is if Paul had remained silent—not proclaimed Christ—he would have been found guilty of their blood ( "blood" being a reference to their eternal punishment).

Will the lost be ultimately responsible for their rejection of God? Yes. God is not to blame, and neither are His children.

Will Christians be examined and held responsible for their obedience to their role as "ambassadors of Christ"? Yes.

Will we never again allow Gospel opportunities to pass by? Our limitations in a fallen world and our sin nature will ensure that some still will.

Should our accountability to be faithful witnesses of Christ compel us to share the Gospel as frequently as possible? Yes.

May God help us to faithfully and urgently communicate the reason for the hope that is in us to all whom we come in contact with.

## Ministry Update

In September we had the blessing of participating in three Missions Conferences in three different states. It kept us busy, and some of this time was made difficult by sickness in our family. The Lord sustained us and we have had the past week and half at home to recover.

My parents watched our girls for a few days in September so that Kalee and I could spend a few days in the Upper Peninsula exploring and enjoying the beauty of God's Creation. It provided some much-needed rest.

We were accepted into the Intercultural Studies Program at the Seminario Bíblico Río Grande in Texas. We will move there in January of 2027 to begin our study of the Spanish language.

Please pray for our upcoming travels to Indiana, Florida, Maryland, and Minnesota in October and November. Our pre-field ministry travels in 2026 will come to a completion the week before Thanksgiving Day. The Lord has seen fit to supply 93% of our monthly financial support. Will you join us in thanking the Lord for His provision through His people.

Thank you for praying for the people of Chile, the church plant in Arica, our family, travels, and other aspects of the ministry. We know that God hears and responds!

Love in Christ,

The Lorch Family
